HAWKS’ Isaac McBride Named GPOY

Isaac McBride was named the Gatorade Player of the Year.  McBride is a Senior at Baptist Prep, averaging 28.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, while shooting 47.5% from 3-point line.  The Gatorade Player of the Year recognizes the nation’s most elite high school student-athletes for their athletic excellence, academic achievement and exemplary character.  Isaac will be taking his talents to the Kansas Jayhawks next year.

This marks the second consecutive year, the Joe Johnson HAWKS program have had Arkansas’ Gatorade Player of the Year.  In 2018, Isaiah Joe was named GPOY.

This also marks the second member of the Joe Johnson HAWKS family to be named GPOY this season, joining former teammate, Justice Hill.  Justice received the honor in Football for 2018-2019.
